World must remain united to fight terrorism: President Mukherjee

Condemning the terror attack in Istanbul, President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said the world must remain united in its fight against terrorism.

"I strongly condemn the terrorist attack on the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul Turkey yesterday. India reiterates its solidarity with the people of Turkey in this difficult hour.

"Our heart and prayers are with the bereaved families as well as those injured in the attacks. The world community must remain united in its resolve to fight against the evil forces of terrorism," he said. The President has strongly condemned the terrorist attack, a press release issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan said.

Triple suicide bombings and gun attack by suspected ISIS terrorists at the airport killed at least 36 people and injured nearly 150 others.
