A women's club held a candlelight march in Bangalore demanding justice for the six-year-old girl student who was sexually assaulted within a school's premises. The student of first grade, who was assaulted by the school's skating instructor, is now under treatment in a hospital. The skating instructor of the public school was arrested on Sunday.

On Friday, women protesters and members of Suvarna Ladies Club, dressed in black, shouted slogans.

"We are protesting against the sexual assault that happened to the small child, to show it has become difficult for ladies to walk without fear. We want to remove 'black feelings of men' and bring in light and ray of hope in minds and hearts of people, especially women, living in the cities," said president of the club, Subha Rajasekhar.

The incident took place in the campus of VIBGYOR High International School, during class hours on July 02.

The girl's mother lodged a complaint with police, after the child complained of stomach ache, fever and vomiting and the doctors informed her about the sexual assault.
