A 24-year-old woman, who was used as 'honey-trap' to recover a loan amount of Rs 30 lakh, fell into the trap of her victims when they gang raped her in the car, 15 kms off the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura.

SK Singh, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mathura, said that the woman was used by a Noida-based property dealer Surendra Gurjar to lay a honey-trap for a scrap dealer Salman Malik, who owed Rs 30 lakh to him, by clicking some indecent pictures to blackmail Malik for the recovery of the money.

Three years ago Gurjar had loaned Rs 10 lakh to Malik who was supposed to pay back Rs 30 lakh with interest. The scrap dealer had given two cheques of Rs 10 lakh each to Gurjar, both of which bounced. Since then Gurjar was planning to get back his money by any means.

As per Gurjar's plan, the woman was to travel in Malik's car till Agra and click some indecent pictures to blackmail him. But Malik got suspicious and took a friend along. They took the car off Yamuna Expressway and raped the woman by turn in the car. While the incident occurred on Saturday, it was briefed by Mathura police on Thursday evening.

After the gang rape, they left the woman on the road and sped away. The victim immediately informed the police. Her medical examination confirmed forcible penetration and injuries on her private parts confirming rape, said the police.

Initially, the victim did not name Gurjar in her FIR, but when her call details were checked it was found that she talked to Gurjar more than 70 times on the day of the incident. When confronted by cops, she narrated the entire story how she was used by Gurjar which led to her gang rape by his friends. She told the police that Gurjar had threatened to kill her younger brother if she named him in the complaint.

"We have arrested Gurjar on charges of abatement of crime. A case has been registered and police team has been formed to investigate the case further. A team has also been dispatched to Dadri and other places to arrest the two gang rape accused," said the SP Mathura.

Victim's family was known to Gurjar and he had got a job to her at a Chartered Accountants firm. She belonged to Baghpat district and was staying in a rented house in Greater Noida.
