The body of 34-year-old Leimapokpam Roma was taken by residents of Kiyamgei area from the J N Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (JNIMSH) here and placed in front of the house of Dr Laithangbam Bidumukhi at Pishum area, about four km from the woman's house yesterday, the police said.

The senior doctor who is attached to the JNIMSH had attended to Roma during her childbirth on July 9 but the mother died two days after some complications, sources in the hospital said.
