Uttarakhand Police have arrested a woman who pretended to be a man, married two women and allegedly tortured one of them for dowry in Nainital district, a senior official told Hindustan Times.

Nainital’s SSP Janmejay Khanduri said Krishna Sen, AKA Sweety Sen from Dhampur in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnore was arrested by Haldwani Police on Wednesday.

Khanduri said: “The lady used to pose as a man in terms of looks and enticed women on Facebook and later married them.”

Sen had reportedly created a Facebook account and posted pictures posing as a man and enticed women on social media. She first married a woman telling them she was the son of CFL bulb businessman from Aligarh. Sen beat his wife demanding dowry and took Rs 8.5 lakh from the woman’s family to set up a factory.

He also lured another woman to be his second wife and kept both his spouses together in a room.

Sen told cops that she had been a tomboy since childhood, pretended to be a man and used to drive motorcycles and smoke cigarettes. After getting married, she had physical relations using sex toys and didn’t let her partners touch her body. The police examined her and proved that biologically she is a woman.

They are also on the lookout for Sen’s family members who came to homes of the women she ‘married’ and also during the engagement or wedding.
