The in-laws of a housewife in Nadia district today allegedly refused to allow the housewife enter the house with her new born baby girl as she is HIV positive patient.
According to police sources the 21-year old woman, a resident of Tehatta Duttapara village in Nadia district had given birth of a baby girl on October 13. The family members of her husband did not turn up to take back her home, even after release from hospital, so today she went to the house of her in-laws as her husband works in Pune but they allegedly refused to allow her enter the house with her baby girl saying they don't have space for her, the sources said.
Krishna was married about 18-months back. Some five months back she was detected to be HIV positive. A police officer said, we had rescued her with the help of local panchayat member and arranged a shelter for her at Tehatta Hospital for the time being.
