The woman had approached DCW and accused AAP workers of defaming her on social media by linking her with Vishwas. She had further said that Viswas must come out and rebut the claims made on social media following which the AAP leader was summoned. He later moved the High Court against the summoning.

The court, which was hearing a plea by Vishwas seeking stay on the summons issued to him by DCW, however, fixed the matter for further consideration on December 14.

Furthermore had also filed a complaint against some unknown people on Friday for allegedly continuing to defame her on social media . The case has been lodged in Seemapuri police station and the woman claims in her complaint that the continuation of her name cropping up in media is taking a toll on her life.

On August 7, former DCW chairperson Barkha Singh's counsel told Justice V P Vaish that even though the file of the complainant was closed by it, the Delhi police was given instruction to further probe and take "action as per law".

According to a senior police officer, the complaint which was filed in the New Delhi District was transferred to the South district as the incident of alleged molestation had occurred there. Senior police officials of South Delhi told dna that the complaint will come formally and action might be taken in a day or two. "The FIR is yet to be lodged. A preliminary investigation will follow and the police will take suitable action as prescribed by the law," the officer said. The woman has also complained that Vishwas's personal assistant Shail had also made a threatening call to her few days ago and police told dna that the matter will be looked into as well.
