Woman alleges rape by BJP MLA, tries to commit suicide outside Yogi Adityanath's residence

The incident happened a year ago, according to the victim.

In a shocking incident, a woman from Uttar Pradesh and her family members tried to commit suicide in front of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence. She was dissuaded from committing suicide by the alert police force stationed outside UP CM's residence.

The accused however has completely rubbished the allegations. 

Later, speaking to ANI, the victim said that for the last one year she has been trying to convey her complaint to the law enforcement authorities without any success. That is what prompted her to try such extreme means, said the lady.

The lady accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of raping her an year back.

The lady told ANI, "I was raped. I have been going from pillar to post for one year but no one listened to me. I want all of them arrested otherwise I will kill myself. I had even gone to the CM to no result. When we lodged FIR we were threatened". According to reports, the lady put oil on her and tried to commit suicide. Later, she and her family members were taken to the police station, where they again tried to commit suicide. 

Kuldeep Singh Sengar told ANI, 

Reacting to this serious allegation of a lawmaker raping a lady, police authorities said that they are probing the matter. ADG Lucknow, Rajiv Krishan said, " They alleged that Kuldeep Singh Sengar raped her, no action was taken & they were beaten up by the other party. On further probe it was found that both parties are in a dispute since 10-12 years". 

ADG Lucknow said that the case has been transferred to Lucknow and the truth will only come out once the investigation is finished.
