Not many are lucky enough to fulfill their parents' last wish. And not many live to see their daughter, son or granddaughter get married. This story of a daughter who helped fulfill the last wish of her ailing mother is bound to bring mixed emotions.

In a heartwarming incident, a hospital in Patna facilitated the wedding of a woman inside the campus whose cancer-stricken mother was admitted to the hospital.

In a wedding scene that looked straight out of a Bollywood film, the bride walked down the aisle towards the groom, except the aisle was not some fancy banquet hall but a hospital corridor.

The woman's mother was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna for the past 15 days.

According to a Hindustan Times report, in a bid to fulfill her mother's last wishes, who is suffering from cervical cancer, AIIMS arranged the wedding of the young couple.

The wedding was held outside the ICU where the women's mother was admitted. The groom applied sindoor (vermillion) on the women's forehead as the priest performed the rituals of wedding. The event was a small traditional affair.

The young couple were supposed to get married on April 18. However, as the condition of the patient deteriorated, they decided to prepone the wedding. The AIIMS authorities helped organise the wedding in the presence of doctors.
