Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi on Saturday said he will be going to Hyderabad to "expose" the All-India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). He was speaking at a press conference held to put forward findings of the fact-finding report on the encounter in Hyderabad.

AIMIM recently made in roads in Maharashtra after the assembly and corporations elections, with their presence rattling several parties. AIMIM is also looking to fight elections in UP, where Samajwadi Party is in power.

"They claim to be messiahs of Muslims everywhere. I will be exposing them in Hyderabad, where they are supporting the ruling government, and yet there was an encounter of five Muslim youths while they were being taken to jail," said Azmi.

Around five people from Warangal jail were being taken to Hyderabad court. In the 35-minute drive, in which the five were in police custody, all were killed. Human rights activist had raised a hue and cry over it.

"No one is raising any voice on the issue. Nothing is happening and no action has been taken on the police. The sitting HC judge should be making provisions. Everyone thinks that MIM is doing too much work for the minority. They have an MP and MLA from that area and yet things haven't moved ahead. On June 13, I will be holding a rally there," said Azmi.

When asked why he was taking a press conference in city and not in Hyederabad, Azmi said, "I have already taken one there and this is not the first time I am going there."
