Lashing out at Nawaz Sharif for glorifying slain Hizbul commander Burhan Wani as a 'young leader' at UN General Assembly, BJP leader Ram Madhav on Thursday said that Pakistan Prime Minister spoke like he was the Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen.

"Pakistan PM at UN was at his pathetic best, he talked not like Supreme Commander of Pak but Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen. Pakistan PM was openly campaigning for one of his terror commanders," Ram Madhav told ANI.

Saying that it was pathetic to see the Pakistan PM championing the cause of UN designated terror organisations, he said, "Pakistan should be declared a terrorist state. Nawaz Sharif with his speech established everything that India has been saying about him and the government in Pakistan."

Speaking about the Uri attack, Ram Madhav said, "At diplomatic level, befitting response to Pakistan has been given. We will respond to Pakistan on its Uri misadventure at multiple levels."

"Apart from diplomatic offensive which we have already launched, the other aspects will also be taken care of. I am sure the government will take necessary actions. Perpetrators of Uri attack will not be spared," he added.

Heavily armed militants from Pakistan-based JeM had on Sunday attack at an Army Brigade Headquarter in Uri in which 18 soldiers were killed.
