Arvind Kejriwal has thrown a googly to the BJP. He has offered to provide funds from his MLA quota to construct a toilet for women in the BJP office in Delhi. The move is potentially embarrassing for BJP, especially since PM Narendra Modi is currently on an overdrive to ensure that his Clean India Mission becomes a roaring success.
The BJP office at Pandit Pant Marg in Delhi falls under Kejriwal's constituency and he has written a letter to the chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council, highlighting the problem. Kejriwal tweeted that he has offered to give funds from his MLA Local Area Development (LAD) for the construction of the toilet.
According to media reports, Kejriwal wrote in the letter, “Though it is the office of the BJP, it falls under my constituency. I want to rise above politics and offer funds from my MLA LAD for the construction of a bio-digestible, four-unit toilet for women on the premises,”

The move has visibly perturbed the BJP. The BJP media co-convener Praveeb Shankar Kapoor said in an irritated tone that they would start work on the project soon and that that “Kejriwal should stop worrying about other parties and take care of his party workers who do not have a permanent office yet."
