Rekha Rajnikant Dalal, a resident of Vikhroli, Mumbai, has lost all hope of getting her late husband's body flown from Saudia Arabia to India. Her husband, Rajnikant Nagindas Dalal, who had been woking in Saudi Arabia for the last 30 years, passed away on April 29, 2015 due to cardiac failure.

Authorities at the Ministry of External Affairs, India and Saudi Arabia have failed to send his body to India for the family to perform the last rituals.  Friday marked 38 days since his passing. Desperate and losing all hope, Dalal’s family has now decided to end their lives.

In tears, Dalal's 24 year old daughter, Khyati told iamin, "We had last seen our dad around two years ago when he came down to meet us. April 26 was the last day when we last spoke to him over the phone and he said everything is fine. Suddenly on April 29, his friend called us and informed that dad is no more due to a cardiac failure."

The family has also written a mail to the Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, seeking help in getting the body back to India.

62 year old Rajnikant was the only bread earner of his family and is survived by wife Rekha and two children.

Khyati said, "We have been contacting the Saudi Arabian and Indian consulate everyday and the response we get is that there are no flight bookings, mistakes in paper work, new file that need to be made. We have already sent them the required documents and a fee of Rs 2,15,000 so that the work can be done faster."

A social activist from Vikhroli, Akbar Qureshi contacted the Indian and Saudi embassy along with the localities of Saudi Arabia to thoroughly understand the issue. Qureshi also asked the Indian embassy to contact Dalal's sponsors, Jacob and Dixit, where Dalal worked as a Auto Electrician. The sponsors did not respond.

Qureshi added, "The body is kept in the Bhurade central hospital in Saudi Arabia. The authorities are just delaying the process."

Rekha Rajnikant Dalal ,60, is struggling to feed her young kids. "I have been waiting for the last 38 days to receive my husband's body and have finally given up hope because I have received no support from the authorities in Saudi Arabia, including the Indian embassy."
