Here's why Milind Soman is running barefoot from Mumbai to Ahmedabad

If you haven't noticed already, model-turned-actor and athletics enthusiast Milind Soman, is running from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and he is doing it barefoot. Between the two cities, he will cover 570 kms, on a route that will take him through Silvassa. He is running as part of 'The Great India Run' which is an inter-city marathon. Starting off on July 26, Soman completed 67 km on the first day and reached the town of Anand. And on the second day he completed 62 km. In a video posted on Facebook on Thursday, Milind Soman is seen running as if he is on a brisk jog down the beach and it does not even seem like he is barefoot and running a marathon on asphalt!

Milind was dubbed the Indian 'Ironman', after he completed a course of 3.8 km swimming, a 180.2 km cycle ride and 42.2 km run in just 15 hours, at the Zurich Ironman triathlon.

Although the weather may prove to be challenging, Milind Soman is expected to return to Mumbai by August 7.
