AHMEDABAD: There is a new twist in the Sanjay Joshi porn CD scandal. The girl, who allegedly featured in the CD, Bhuvaneshwari Madhu, came out of hiding on Tuesday to claim that it is not her in the video. She says this is a ploy to malign her and her family.

Interestingly, the twist in the tale is yet to come. Madhu also reiterated in the press release that her sister’s name was dragged in the scandal deliberately. Her sister has become an Ayurvedic doctor on her own merit, and not because of the family’s political relations.

Yet when DNA investigated, it was revealed that Shrilekhe Chitte (Madhu’s sister) was admitted to the Jamnagar Ayurvedic University on a government nominee seat by the order of the health minister.

Furthermore, she was appointed in the University as a Panchkarma Assistant without having the proper qualifications needed for the post.

DNA found that Shrilekha managed to pass her examinations after eight trials and was appointed as a Panchkarma Assistant on an ad hoc basis in Jamnagar Ayurvedic University.

She did not have the necessary MD degree to teach at PG level and was later admitted to the MD course on government nominee seat. She was paid Rs9000 per month, which is higher than the entitlements due at her position. It is believed that PJ Vora, then VC of Jamnagar Ayurvedic University, had to appoint her after he was pressurised by Sangh and BJP leaders.

Madhu and Shrilekha are the daughters of an RSS supporter in Vadodara. In a press release, she said that she and her family had been given wrong advice by a well wisher to leave town and avoid the press after her name was featured in the scandal.

Madhu said that even without any proof, the media dragged her name in the scandal. “I was out shopping when certain sections of the media went to my house. They asked my mother and sister about my whereabouts and then made my sister talk on the phone to their boss.

My parents panicked and called a family friend. It was he who advised me and my husband to go out of town for some days, which was a wrong decision.”

“We stayed at a relative’s place for a couple of days, seeking advice. Then we came to Ahmedabad, where a retired Justice advised us to go public and make a statement before the press,” she added in her release.
