All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has once again hit out at RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat over the issue of building Ram temple in Ayodhya.

"With what authority is Mohan Bhagwat saying that a Temple will be built in Ayodhya?," asked the AIMIM chief.

"The case is still on in the Supreme Court. Is Mohan Bhagwat the Chief Justice? Who is he?" he further added.

A fortnight ago, Bhagwat made a strong pitch for building Ram temple on the disputed site at Ayodhya, saying only a mandir would come up there and not any other structure.

"We will construct it. It is not a populist declaration but a matter of our faith. It will not change," Bhagwat had said.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday announced that the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya will commence soon and devotees will be able to celebrate the next Diwali there.

The Supreme Court will on December 5 commence the final hearing on the cross-appeals filed against the 2010 judgement of the Allahabad High Court in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute.

The high court had ruled a three-way division of the disputed 2.77 acre area at Ayodhya among the parties -- the Sunni Waqf Board, the Nirmohi Akhara and the Ram Lalla.
