When BJP's Union Minister Maneka Gandhi praised Congress chief Sonia Gandhi

In a rare instance, Union Minister Maneka Gandhi on Sunday praised Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi while citing an example of her fighting corruption.

According to reports, at a meeting held with officials in her constituency in Pilibhit, Maneka praised her estranged sister-in-law.

Talking about an old incident, Maneka said, "Once Sonia Gandhi's relative opened up a shop. That relative used to take advantage of her name. Sonia put out advertisements in newspapers asking people not to go to that person for any help. I'm asking you to do a similar thing. You, too, advertise," reported news18.com.

She also urged them to put up notices outside their offices and assured that a vigilance enquiry would be carried out on all babus.
