When a dog literally became the bone of contention in this arranged marriage

There are few greater crimes in modern urban India than admitting than one doesn’t like dogs. It’s almost inexplicable, but the moment you say you don’t like those furry fleabags, the world starts to look at you like you’re a psycho who has been let out of the asylum. And on Tuesday, the great minds of Twitter were overcome with emotion when a woman reportedly dumped her ‘arranged marriage’ prospect because the guy didn’t like dogs.

Karishma Walia, a girl from Bangalore who works in Deloitte in Gurgaon rejected a guy her mother thought was an ‘excellent match’ because he was ‘good looking’ and ‘well-off’.Walia told: “For my dog, I am the only one. And that’s all that matters.”

According to BuzzFeed, Walia said her mother thought the guy was an excellent match because he was good looking and well-off. “There was a lot of family pressure, and they still think I did the wrong thing by raising the concern about my dog.”

Though her family, felt the guy was ‘an eligible bachelor’, the girl rejected her after he refused to get on-board with the dog. This saw the dog snap and bark saying, ‘please marry the dog in the case’. She added: “I have been talking to him for over a week now. I spoke to him couple of times more, and he pissed me off with the way he was enforcing his decisions on me.” And what did Twitter think. Go on, see it:
