West Bengal: Fast track court sentencnes man to life imprisonment for killing 6-year old girl in 2008

A fast track court on Tuesday awarded life sentence to a man for killing a six-year old girl in 2008. The judge of the fast track court sentenced Jhantu Nag to life imprisonment for slashing the throat of the girl on February 14, 2008. The court also slapped a Rs 10,000 fine on the convict and additional one-year imprisonnment in case of default.

According to the prosecution, Nag killed the unsuspecting child in cold blood due to a family dispute and was netted later.
