West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was once again the victim of abusive language by a state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader.

BJP’s state vice president, Rajkumari Kesari hurled abusive words at the CM while delivering a speech at a public meeting on Sunday in south Bengal. She raised questions of Mamata’s parenthood saying, “Mamata Banerjee had earlier touched the feet of the then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and addressed him as her father. Will she now tell us who her real father is?. Again, referring to the recent Mamata-Modi meeting she said, “Now she has gone begging to Modi for money in the name of god. Why will the Centre give her money when her people here are killing BJP workers?”

She referred to TMC workers in Bengal as ‘shameless eunuchs’. Kesari’s comments are nothing new. On May 1, state BJP leader Shyamapada Mondal too, had called the CM a eunuch and earlier to it, BJP youth leader Yogesh Varshney had announced an award of Rs 11 lakh to whoever beheaded Mamata Banerjee.

State power minister and senior TMC leader Sovandeb Chattopadhyay said that comments like these exposed the ‘fascist’ and ‘uncultured’ face of BJP. “The position of a Chief Minister should be respected. Comments like these by a lady for another lady is unthinkable. It shows their lack of culture,” Chattopadhyay said.
