We're ready to debate any party's issue, says PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the government was ready to discuss any issue. "We hope Parliament functions smoothly. Whatever issues any party has, it can raise on the floor of the House. The government is ready for discussion on all issues," he said on the first day Parliament's Monsoon Session.

"Many important decisions in the country's interest will be taken up in the Session. We hope for good suggestions and discussions from all experienced members of Parliament," he said.

His office earlier hoped that the Session would be fruitful. "May the productivity of the forthcoming Session and the rich levels of debate also become a source of inspiration for various state assemblies," it tweeted.
