Amid speculation that she might take over the leadership of RJD in the absence of her husband Lalu Prasad, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi on Tuesday said she and her sons do not crave for any post but would work for party.
"We do not have any craving for the post. I and my sons do not want any post in the party," Rabri Devi told reporters at her residence here.
Rabri Devi said she and her sons would tour Bihar to tell the people how "their leader" Prasad has fallen pray to the "conspiracy" of his opponents.
She said people of Bihar were waiting to see the fate of three JD(U) leaders including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shivanand Tiwari and Rajiv Ranjan Lallan against whom the CBI court would hear on November 22.
"We (RJD) and the people of Bihar wish to see if justice is done by giving the same punishment to these three leaders," she said.
Rabri Devi also insisted that there is no proof for the charges for which Lalu has been held guilty.
She said investigating agencies have given the proof of what they found during the raid at their home in connection with the fodder scam. "The charges they have framed are wrong and there is no proof," she said.
Sources in RJD said Prasad had talked to Rabri Devi yesterday over phone before going to Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi from the CBI court which held him guilty in a fodder scam case.
Rabri Devi had yesterday said she and her son would run RJD just as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were guiding Congress.
