Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that neither does the RSS want to change anyone's religion, language, and caste, nor does it wants any power centre other than the Constitution. The organisation believes in the Constitution, Bhagwat reiterated.

Mohan Bhagwat was addressing a 'Bhavishya Ka Bharat' event on Sunday when he said, "When workers of RSS say that this country belongs to Hindus and 130 crore people are Hindu, it does not mean that we want to change anyone's religion, language or caste ... We do not want any power centre other than the Constitution because we believe in it."

He said that the constitution of India talks about 'emotional integration'. This unity lies in the diversity of the country, Bhagwat said, adding that this is what the RSS defines as 'Hindutva'.

Notably, the RSS Sarsanghchalak (chief) had on the last month said that the organisation regards 130 crore population of India ‘Hindu society’ no matter what they consider themselves.

While addressing a three-day event of RSS in Hyderabad in December, Bhagwat had said, "When RSS calls someone a Hindu then it means those people who consider India as their motherland and love it...The son of mother India, irrespective of what language he speaks, which religion he practices, whether he follows any form of worship or not, is a Hindu."

Recently, Mohan Bhagwat and the RSS have come into the news for reportedly pressing for a new law to control the booming population crisis in the country, in the form of a potential 'two-child' policy.
