Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday hoisted a 303-foot tall tricolour in Kolhapur.
The flag erected at the police ground Kolhapur city administration is the second tallest in India. The size of flag is 60 feet x 90 feet.

“Such a high flag can be seen from anywhere in the city and will instil a feeling of patriotism amongst people,” a statement from the CM’s office said.
A special chopper was deployed on this occasion to shower flowers from the sky. Actor Akshay Kumar, Guardian Minister ChandrakantPatil and other ministers and MLAs were present on the occasion.
