India is celebrating Republic Day with much fervour and gusto. Parade on Rajpath is one of the highlights of the day most of us look forward to.

The parade this year marks a lot of firsts. Here is the list - 

1. 76 member French Army contingent to salute President.
2. Ceremonial salute by Ex-Servicemen tableau.
3. First indigenously made aircraft carrier Vikrant, will fly past the parade route
4. First indigenously made submarine Kalvari is on display
5. All women stunt contingent to participate in parade.
6. All women stunt contingent to show motorcycle riding skills for the first time.
7. After 26 years,Army dog squad from Remount Veterinary Corps to participate in the parade.
