Things got a little out of hand in the Delhi Assembly when BJP MLA Vijender Gupta felt that he had to take a stand and proceeded to literally do so by standing up on his bench. Vijender Gupta was protesting against the Speaker for allegedly not letting him speak when the assembly session was on. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia appeared to be laughing when the incident took place.
Arvind Kejriwal, reacted to the incident on Twitter and wrote: “Shocking.” He was quoted saying by Indian Express: “BJP has no respect for democratic institutions like Legislative Assembly. Look at BJP’s Leader of Opposition’s conduct.”
