Singer turned politician, AAP leader Kumar Vishwas released a song earlier this week called Ek Nasha which takes shots at the Badals’ reign in Punjab. The video shows depressed farmers and then goes on to sing: “Khet kha gaye Badal”. (The Badals have eaten up farmland), which is a pretty straightforward criticism of the ruling family of Punjab.
The video shows among other things a youngster dying of an overdose and various clippings to suggest that Punjab has been completely ruined by drugs and corruption. The video ends with a not-so-subtle urge to Punjabis, to reclaim the broom and sweep away the filth.
