Two top ministers on Wednesday held parleys with senior Congress leaders in a bid to broker peace after the ruckus in the Rajya Sabha over BJP leader Subramanian Swamy dragging Sonia Gandhi's name in the AgustaWestland VVIP helicopter deal.

Sources said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu held confabulations with Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad and Deputy Leader of Congress in the House Anand Sharma over lunch. Naidu had invited them for the meeting, the sources said.

Normalcy returned to the House after an hour washout of the business in the morning.

However, later the Rajya Sabha was adjourned after Congress created a row over drought.
