Vasundhara Raje takes matters in her hands, to review projects

Meets several IAS officers, cops and newly elected legislators at residence, directs them to make presentations.

IAS officers continued to throng chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s house on Tuesday as well.

Chief minister’s secretary Tanmay Kumar met her and discussed several key issues related to the governance, while many other IAS officers made courtesy visits. Raje remained home for most part of the day.

Sources said that all senior IAS officers have been asked to prepare presentations on major projects of their departments which might be reviewed by the chief minister.

Many of the projects were initiated by the previous government and now these may be revived by the new government.

Additional chief secretary Ashok Sampatram, G Sandhu, OP Meena, A Mukhopadhyaya, Rakesh Verma met Raje at her residence during the day.

Other senior officials Rohit Brandon and Gurjot Kaur also met her. These officials said that theirs was a courtesy visit to CM house. Several RPS officers also came to meet Raje.

Meanwhile, anticipating that Raje may inspect city on Tuesday, the JMC and JDA officials remained busy in repairing roads and streetlights all day.

Meanwhile, many MLAs also met Raje.

Bagru MLA Kailash Verma, Sojat MLA Sanjana Agari and Nathdwara MLA Kalyan Singh were amongst those who met Raje on Tuesday.

Raje also spent some time with the BJP councillors of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) who were led by deputy mayor Manish Pareek.

Testing times
Chief minister Vasundhara Raje will review all the major schemes and the projects of the state. All the departments have been told to prepare presentations containing details of the projects and schemes till December 19. Acting chief secretary CS Rajan issued this order to heads of all the departments.
