Vasundhara Raje set to take oath with ministers

State BJP chief and CM-designate Vasundhara Raje formally staked her claim on forming the government during her meeting with the governor Margaret Alva on Tuesday. Raje and her core team (ministers) would be taking oath on Friday at a lavish function outside the Assembly building.

Chief ministers of BJP-led governments and senior leaders of the party would be taking part in two-and-a-half hour ceremony starting 12pm on December 13.

Sources said that Raje would be taking the oath along with 8-9 ministers in the presence of BJP’s national president Rajnath Singh, prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and senior leader LK Advani.

Though sources clarified that the final shape of the Cabinet will be approved by the party’s central leadership. “The model would be same for all whether it is the government formation or the selection of ministers who would run the government,” a source in the state unit said. The Cabinet would have the Central leadership’s stamp of approval, the source added.

On Tuesday, Raje along with a delegation including senior leaders Gulab Chand Kataria, Onkar Singh Lakhawat, MLA and spokesperson Bhawani Singh Rajawat reached the Governor’s official residence  at 10.14 am. Raje remained with Alva for around 20 minutes, sources said.

Repair work and beautification of the state Assembly premises at Janpath, government buildings along the road, footpaths and dividers is being done

All officer bearers of the state BJP unit and all the Mandals have been invited for the ceremony
