A high school student from Varanasi's Jayapur village, who was congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on twitter upon scoring 94 percent in his exams, on Saturday, said that the former's 'Mann ki Baat' programme on All India Radio had inspired him to perform well.

"I want to be an IAS officer and serve my nation. I want to thank PM for his wishes. The work PM Modi is doing is unprecedented. Prime Minister and his "Mann ki Baat" programme before our exams inspired me a lot," Nitesh Patel told ANI. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi took to twitter to extend his greetings to Nitesh Patel.

"This news from Jayapur in my Parliamentary Constituency is very heartening. Congrats to these youngsters. http://www.jagran.com/uttar-pradesh/varanasi-city," he posted. Earlier, extending his best wishes to the students appearing for their board exams, Prime Minister Modi had asked them to remain stress-free and not to take the test as a matter of life and death.

"Schools should hold Exam Utsavs with satires, cartoons and debates on the subject of examination itself. By doing so, the nervousness of students will disappear," he said. Prime Minister Modi requested the parents not to compare their children with others, as doing so causes stress among the kids.
