At least 7 eye patients reported problem in their eye sight after alleged use of infected injection by doctor at the Ophthalmology department at Sir Sunderlal Hospital.
"The seven patients had consulted Dr OPS Maurya on Jan 28, he asked them to buy an injection collectively for Rs 23,500," said Sanjeev Mishra, SHO Lanka Police Station.
"Five of the victims have given a joint complaint, they lost sight in one eye next day," he added.
These sufferers reached Lanka police station to lodge an FIR against the Benaras Hindu University professor Dr OP Singh Maurya, who gave injection to them.
