Vadodara (rural) SP Saurabh Tolumbia told PTI that the fire started at a cracker shop and spread to the adjoining cracker shops and residential structures. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
This is the second tragedy in the run up to Diwali. Last week at least nine people were killed and dozens injured after a massive fire engulfed a firecracker factory and godown in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi town.
