Mathematics is a strange subject. Either people love it or hate it, but they can't ignore it.

But what happens when you get your equation wrong in a math class?

Simple, if you are a minister, you actually tell the teacher that she is wrong.

Uttarakhand Education Minister Arvind Pandey is the 'student' who got his math wrong and in turn insulted the teacher.

According to media reports, a video has surfaced online, which shows Pandey giving out his bizarre theory.

The minister was visiting a school in Dehradun where this incident happened.

He questioned the teacher what would be the answer of (-) + (-). She replied the answer to be negative.

He not only insulted the teacher but also justified his theory. According to Pandey, (-) + (-)= (+) in mathematics but (-) in Chemistry, after the teacher said she is a science teacher and not maths.

She had given a right answer but the overbearing nature of the education minister made her doubt her own learning. The incident has sparked outrage in the hill state. "The way he spoke... it was an insult to the entire teaching community," a teacher at a protest in capital Dehradun was quoted as saying by NDTV.
