Uttar Pradesh: Woman commits suicide after husband, in-laws get convicted in dowry case

A woman allegedly committed suicide after her husband and in-laws were sentenced to life imprisonment in a dowry death case by a local court here.

ASP Maan Singh said that Phoolwati (42) consumed poison after her husband Saroj and in-laws were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his brother's wife for dowry.

The woman was apparently upset after the verdict was pronounced on by special judge Chandrapal Singh. He said that Phoolwati was admitted to hospital where she died during treatment.
