A local court in Bhadohi has sent the son of a former BJP MP and three others to jail in connection with the gangrape of a minor in 2014.

A case was registered against Anand Pandey, son of former BJP MP Gorakhnath Pandey and three others in connection with the gangrape of a minor in a school in Koirana Police station area in 2014, prosecution sources said.

The four accused were on bail and hearing of the case was going on in the court of additional district and sessions judge Chandrashekhar Prasad where all the four had appeared on Thursday.

The court took strong note of the four not cooperating in the hearing and sent them to jail in judicial remand till further orders, they added.
