Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party MLA Arun Verma booked for murder

Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Arun Verma was on Monday booked for allegedly murdering a woman who had accused him, and seven others of rape in 2013.

A case has been filed against the MLA by the father of the woman, reported ANI.

The body of a 20-year-old woman was recovered on Sunday near her house in Jaisinghpur. The victim had left home for some work but  did not return, reported Indian Express.

The injury marks around her neck suggested she was strangulated, said a report quoting officer.
