Uttar Pradesh: Man arrested for allegedly raping minor daughter

A man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter, it has been reported.

The incident took place in the state's Badayu area in Tappi village, it was reported. The victim told her uncle of her ordeal.

The child's uncle then came together with the other villagers and filed a complaint with the police. Supritendent of police (Rural) Surendra Pratap Singh told mediapersons that the father had been arrested on Sunday evening.

The accused is being questioned, while the girl has been examined for a medical check-up.
