Union Textile Minister Santosh Gangwar on Sunday criticised the Uttar Pradesh Government for the worsening law and order situation in the region.

He said the Akhilesh Yadav -led government did not seem to have an agenda to tackle the problem head-on, especially after its defeat in the Lok Sabha polls.

Gangwar said that the Samajwadi Party (SP) is so confused that it is not able to decide what to do. They are just attacking BJP workers and killing them, he added.

The statement came in lieu of recent deaths of three BJP leaders Vijay Pandit, Omveer Singh and Rakesh Rastogi in Greater Noida, Muzaffarnagar and Baheri respectively.

"I suggest the UP Chief Minister to improve the state's condition and the central government will also help it. The UP Government has no control over the law and order in the state. One gets to hear news of girls being kidnapped, raped or murdered almost daily, but no action is being taken," added Gangwar.

Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing a series of crimes daily as recently two Dalit girls were raped and their bodies were hanged on a tree in Badaun. In another similar case, a 16 years old girl was raped and hanged in Moradabad and a 32 year old woman was raped in Badaun today.
