Uttar Pradesh chief minister announces Rs 20L aid to kin of soldiers killed in Jammu & Kashmir

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today announced a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh each to the family members of two army personnel from the state who were recently killed in separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The Chief Minister has paid tributes to Neeraj Kumar and Rahul Kumar, who were killed in separate encounters with the terrorists, and has announced a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh each to their family members," an official spokesman said here in a statement.

Yadav said their sacrifice would be remembered forever Neeraj and Rahul were killed in separate encounters with militants on August 24 in Jammu and Kashmir.
