Uttar Pradesh: Caught on camera, BJP leader and his son thrash toll plaza employee

At a time when BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is looking to clamp down on lawlessness, it seems like some in the saffron party are playing spoilsport. A senior BJP leader was caught on CCTV camrera thrashing a toll plaza staffer, in Akbarpur city of the state.  

 Kanpur Dehat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rahuldev Agnihotri and his son thrashed a toll plaza employee in Uttar Pradesh's Akbarpur city. The incident happened a few days back on February 28, and the clip went viral on social media. Agnihotri tried to dodge the toll plaza staffer and leave without paying money. However the staffer refused to oblige leading to massive altercation.

The footage shows Agnihotri and his son entering the plaza and slapping the employee. The son looks particularly aggressive, and there are people who restrained him from launching a full-throttle attack on the employee. The hapless toll plaza staffer is seen as trying to reason with Agnihotri but to no avail. 

In a similar incident months ago, Vijay Charel, husband of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, was caught thrashing a toll plaza employee in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. Vijay is the husband of Sangeeta Charel, the BJP MLA from Sailana constituency. 

Last year, Shiv Sena workers had stabbed an employee of the Bandra Worli Sea Link toll booth for asking money for passing.
