At least twelve people suffered injuries on Thursday after eight coaches of Delhi-bound Jabalpur-Mahakaushal express derailed near Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba railway station.
The incident took place at around 2am. No casualties have been reported so far.
District officials from Jhansi and General Manager of North Central Railway, M. C. Chauhan rushed to the sport.

"One AC-II coaches, three AC-III coaches and four sleeper coaches are among those which have been derailed. Around 12 people are injured. The route between Jhani and Allahabad has been affected," Manjar Karar, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Northern Central Railway told ANI.
Accident relief medical van from Jhansi and Mahoba has also been deployed to tender the injured people.
However, the cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained.
