US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met Indian PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday. This is first high profile consultation between India and US after Modi 2.0 has taken over. There is a change in External Affairs Ministry also with S Jaishankar replacing Sushma Swaraj. Some of the big issues likely to feature are India's purchase of S-400 missile defence systems from Russia, terrorism, H1B visas, trade and the situation arising out of US sanctions on buying oil from Iran.
