US museum will return over 100 stolen antiques to India

The Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio will return over 100 stolen Indian artefacts. These antiquities were donated to the museum by Subhash Kapoor who is being investigated by US Departments of justice and homeland security, reports an English daily.

According to the reports, Kapoor donated over 115 objects. Some of them were from Gupta period. The terracotta pieces are from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and western India.

Some of these articles date back to 1st century BC. The museum will coordinate with Indian consulate to return these items.
