After holding written test and interviews, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) President Raj Babbar on Saturday announced a 14-member team of UPCC spokespersons.
The selection was made from 170 candidates who appeared in the written test and interviews in two rounds. Ironically, almost all old guards were retained as party media spokespersons.
The party seems to have failed to find young and suitable candidates even after screening 170 party leaders for its media team through a written test and interview.
Only one woman was given the place in the list of 14 spokespersons while other old party members were retained in different parts of the media team.
Earlier, the UPCC Chief had disbanded the media team and announced to recruit a new young team after written test and interviews on the directions of the AICC President Rahul Gandhi.
In the first written test held on June 28, about 70 candidates had appeared in the exam. Ironically, the question paper was leaked on the WhatsApp even before the exam could be started. There were allegations of cheating also as candidates were seen surfing net for answers to simple questions asked.
