Violence continued to be reported from Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj on Sunday as mobs torched two more shops. The District Magistrate reached the spots and fire fighters extinguished the blaze.

More than 150 people have been rounded up and district authorities called for a peace committee meeting to ask both communities to maintain peace. Drone surveillance is being conducted to maintain law and order.

The police have put restrictions on the Internet for a few hours to restrain rumours from being spread. Patrolling has been intensified and raids are conducted at the residence of an accused. Later in the day, the district administration allowed opening of markets and shops at a few places.

One person died and two others were injured after a clash broke out between two communities during 'Tiranga Yatra' on Republic Day on Friday.

Both groups reportedly pelted stones and fired bullets at each other. Prohibitory orders are in place in the area.

A Special Investigative Team (SIT) has been formed to arrest other accused for the violence.

Meanwhile, the state government banned entry of political leaders in Kasganj to maintain law and order and restore normalcy. Self-styled saffron leader Sadhvi Prachi was denied entry into the district. Requests of a few political leaders to visit affected areas were also turned down.
