Unprovoked firing from Pakistan costs BSF head constable his life on his birthday

On Wednesday evening, there was another incident of unprovoked firing along the IB, which cost a BSF soldier his life. Indian forces retaliated adequately and we are currently waiting for more details of the incident.

The incident occurred at 1645 hours in the Samba sector and Head Constable Radhapad Hazra was wounded in the firing. Injured, Hazra was evacuated but he succumbed to his injuries later. Even more tragically it was the martyred trooper’s birthday.

Hazra had served the nation proudly for 27 years, and was a resident of Murshidabad, West Bengal. He is survived by his 21-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son.
