Union Minister, TN Governor to take part in Yoga Day function

Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Dr Mahesh Sharma will participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations to be held at Isha Yoga Centre on the city's outskirts on June 21.

Sharma would be the guest of honour at the event while Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao will be the chief guest and address the gathering, a release from Isha Foundation said.

Presiding over the function, the centre's founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will teach yoga to the participants, it said.

Around 10,000 persons are expected to participate in function, scheduled to begin at 7.30 AM.

There will be mass feeding after the function, the release said.
