"The first session of the sixteenth Lok Sabha will resume on June 4 and will continue till June 11. The session will again resume in July and the budget is most likely to presented in the first week of July,' a senior parliamentary affairs ministry official told dna.
Expectations are when Jaitley presents the budget, the middle class will have something to cheer about as the government is considering increasing the income tax exemption limit.
"The government will have a good 20 days or so even if the budget is tabled in the first week of July for the discussion and passing of the Finance Bill. It will be a full year budget as eight months are still to go in the current financial year," the official said.
