Gautam Gambhir was at his fiery on Tuesday as he took down Shahid Afridi for his comments on Kashmir.
Afridi had put out a tweet on Tuesday morning, insulting India for its operations to kill terrorists in Kashmir. In a strongly worded post, the former Pakistani captain said that the United Nations must step in to halt India's 'oppressive regime' in Kashmir. Afridi offered his views after Indian security forces killed 13 terrorists in three gunfights in Kashmir, in which three soldiers and a civilian also died.
""Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?" Afridi rambled on Twitter.

Always one to take a stand for his country, Gambhir put out a brutal counter to Afridi's tweet. The two-time World Cup-winner didn't hesitate in tagging the Pakistani all-rounder and throwing in the word 'retard' in his post.
"Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!" Gambhir wrote on Twitter.

Two top cricketers of the world involved in a public spat as dramatic as this is a rare instance. Having said that, the duo did have a go at each other once on the field during their prime. One wouldn't be surprised if Afridi makes a personal comeback to Gambhir's stinging post.
Meanwhile, Kashmir remained paralysed on Monday amid curfew-like restrictions and a shutdown, a day after security forces killed 13 terrorists in three gunfights in which three soldiers and a civilian also died. Three civilians had also been killed and over a hundred injured as mobs clashed with security forces.
Mobile Internet remained suspended in several parts of the Valley to prevent any flare-up. Separatists extended their shutdown by one more day. Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off roads.
Strict restrictions were imposed in South Kashmir and old Srinagar city. The government has closed down the schools, colleges and other educational institutions. Protests rocked Kashmir University as students shouted slogans against the killings.
Police also apprehended JKLF leader Mohammad Yasin Malik and shifted him to Srinagar's Central Jail. Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani and moderate leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq were placed under house detention and not allowed to lead prayers in absentia for the slain militants and civilians.
